So it's the 26th, and I thank God that this time of year is OVER!!!  Children are greedy, selfish, and just altogether damn annoying! Their Parents are JUST as bad!  TRUST ME FOLKS!  Your little Jimmy's and Susie's HAVE NOT been $250 - $500 worth of GOOD this last year!  You were there for crying out loud! You know that they are snot-nosed-little-brats, who will make your life a never-ending-hell, if you don't get them the newest, hottest, thing this season and THAT is why you buy them these outrageous gifts EVERY year!! TO SHUT THEM UP!!!   
Of course . . . you MUST share this "LIST" with granny and pops, who by-the-by, has the same damn list from their other 5 grandkids.  Poor granny's shaking her head asking me how much  "3 I-pods, 4 cell phones,  5 Ds-lites with games, a PSP, games for a Wii, Diamond earrings, a PS3 and 2 portable dvd players are going to cost her this year, while I have to resist the urge to shake the poor woman, and make her come to her senses!  
The reason that todays children are materialistc, self-centered, and demanding of instant gratification, is that their PARENTS enable them to be!!!

It'd just be nice to see people remembering WHY we celebrate the holiday season, reguarless of faith and belief, and maybe,  just maybe, a re-evaluation of our own values as a whole, before we totally ruin the next few generations view of the world.  Maybe I'm wishing for a miracle that won't come, but hey, isn't that part of the season too?
